The Petting Pantry is back for your pleasure and entertainment starting Saturday, January 22nd! That's right, folks: we trudged from Muskegon with our wagon train, through the snows of the mid-west, getting stuck in the Rocky Mountains, thus having only one choice for sustenance with no wild game to be found...Wait a minute! That wasn't our story!
Anyway...
We're back, with a new winter home at the Mezz Bar in the gorgeous, historic Alexandria Hotel!
This month will feature unbridled delights from that "Pe-Tite Barnum of Burlesque", the award winning, Penny Starr, Jr.!
Be prepared, my friends, because that "sexy librarian with a killer shoe collection", Pam Shaffer, will send your hearts a-flutter with her whimsical songs and her honeyed voice!
Clear the way, dear readers, because that incomparable doctor of words, Mooey Moobau will baffle you with his contraptions and confound you with his utter nonsense!
Madame Pamita will look far, far into your future and profess to you what riches your life has in store! All of her embodied visions will cause her to break out into song with each fortune told!
Did I hear you say you would like to see the wonders and the beauties of the fantastical, Kate Fox? Well, my minions, you have come to the right place, because Miss Fox will dazzle you with her sly dancing and catch you off guard with her quick wit!
And for those of you who want to kick up your heels and forget your New Year Resolutions, AK and Her Kalashnikovs will be there to rattle the house with boisterous numbers from Eastern Europe and much more as you forget your woes and become entranced by their hypnotic melodies!
Our fine landlady hostess, Sugar T. Russell, will make you feel cozy with her drunken belligerencies and awkward statements and she stumbles through the night on what she thinks is fine theater flooring and excellent fire standards.
Of course, Odious and Puddles will always be there to spoil the show and swindle your money, while Two-Bit Opera will pay tribute to Tin Pan Alley and Prix de Beauté will give you a fringe cascading tease you'll never forget!
All of this plus DJed music from 1900-1930s until the end of the night with DJ Odious, who will also be playing his collection of 78s!
So, as usual, grab your best tomato, hop in your cake basket and sputter down to the Mezz for a whangdoodle of a good time!

Come this September, for the last exciting vaudeville serial for the summer (before the Petting Pantry folk retire to Muskegon for the winter)! This show will be expertly hosted by the great Jason Savvy! Prepare your growling stomachs and hungry eyes for that bacon obsessed hypnotist, Ba-Ba Baconface! You'd better repent, wicked sinners, because when Holly Go Darkly appears to take your soul, you'll be frozen in your seat while she tempts you down the devil's way with her gorgeous curves and unholy dancing! Watch those gaping maws, boys, because Lady M & the Ghosts of Echo Park will set your hearts a thumpin with her roaring vocals and swaying hips! Feast your eyes on the lovely, leggy Iza LaVamp; but be careful, young men, because she is known to break a heart in two with one, lusty look! You won't believe your eyes when the beautiful Miss Cory Marie jingles, jangles and swishes her way around the stage in an exotic belly dance that will take you back to the time of Ali Baba! Giggle at goofy 1920s tunes from Two-Bit Opera and blush at the sporting forwardness of Prix de Beauté! The Amazingly Odious Ari and the Capable Miss Puddles will try one last time to make a comeback on the vaudeville circuit; perhaps singing and dancing will be involved (if not loss of pants and drunken brawls)! Get your fortune told by the gifted Madame Pamita! And get yourself a vegan hotdog from the Frankenstand! Stay after the show for the breathtaking invention of incredible, moving picture shorts graciously provided by Terry Ellsworth and Kelley Francis!

Hold on to your feathered hats, ladies, because the exotic Jen Jen the Burlesque Blockhead Bombshell will call up her fire breathing abilities to mystify and ...baffle your mortal souls (we hear she has a pact with the devil)! Hold onto your monocles, gentlemen, because the tantalizing Miss of the circus, Tori Adorable will shimmy her way into your hearts (and if you're not careful, your wallets)! You won't leave this show the same once you've witnessed the marvels and impossible feats of of the ferocious vixen, Queenie Jean! You won't believe your ears as the siren of song, Leah Harmon, takes the stage and takes you back to simpler times when bicycles were built for two! Giggle at goofy 1920's tunes from Two-Bit Opera and blush at the sporting forwardness of Prix de Beauté! Have your fortune told by the mysterious Madame Pamita who will be occupying the canopy next to the stage and oggle at the breathtaking invention of incredible, moving pictures graciously provided by Terry Ellsworth!
This month after the live show, we will be featuring "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em", a rarely shown silent film which co-stars the lovely Louise Brooks!
